WASHINGTON– Things are heating up in the presidential race as President Donald Hump and former New York City mayor Spike Bloomberg hurled insults at each other on Twitter this week.
Republican President Hump fired the first shot at the much shorter Bloomberg, tweeting, “Little Spike may be a hedgehog, but he’s too spineless to face the much larger animals on the political debate stage. Don’t forget to bring your ladder, Shrew-berg.”
Even though Bloomberg is actually a hedgehog, Hump has been calling him a shrew for years as a way to further toy with his old New York nemesis.
Minutes later the Democrat candidate Bloomberg fired back, saying the president is a laughing stock to the entire business world and although he may be short, he’ll still stand up to the challenge of beating him in the 2020 presidential election.
“We know many of the same animals in NY,” Bloomberg said in his response to Hump. “Behind your hump they laugh at you & call you a carnival camel dog toy.”
The wealthy hedgehog finished the tweet with, “They know you couldn’t go two days without water. Hedgehog will defeat camel.”
The two wealthy New York animals have gone on the offensive and are planning to use their fortunes to outdo each other in their respective political battles, with Hump’s re-election campaign raising almost $200 million.
Bloomberg has been fighting off accusations that he targeted animals of certain species while he was mayor of New York City, with Hump accusing him on Twitter of being a “Total Hater of Certain Species.”
