RABBIT SHUFFLE, NORTH CAROLINA– This year’s carrot eating contest hopped into the area Saturday as twenty of the world’s hungriest hares gave it their all to try to win the illustrious vegetable munching title.
For the second year in a row Wiggles McGhee scurried away with the title as he chewed down 89 carrots in 10 minutes, beating out the second place winner by 13 carrots.
Wiggles is the top carrot eater in the game and has been making the rounds on local news outlets, saying that he’s already preparing to defend his title at next year’s contest being held in Easter Island, Chile.
“I knew I had to come out quick like a bunny at the beginning,” Wiggles said on ESPN as he showcased his trophy. “The carrots were nice and tender today. I started struggling a little about halfway through, but I knew I had to really sink my teeth into this thing to win it.”
Not only did Wiggles destroy his competitors, but he also beat his own record by 4 carrots and further sealed his place as the most ravenous rabbit on earth.
“I feel alright at the moment, just a little stuffed,” Wiggles said with a fluffy smile. “I’m sure after the physical effects kick in a little later I’ll be spending quite a bit of time down in the rabbit hole sleeping it off.”
