HOUSTON, TEXAS– A Houston cow that shot a rooster was sentenced to one week probation and counseling Friday in court, prosecutors said. The lucky rooster only had its wing clipped.
Betsy Sue Moola, 10, was arrested on attempted murder charges on December 14, but was released from jail December 15 on $20 bail and two quarts of milk.
Five days later, the cow allegedly sent text messages to the rooster that she tried to kill, saying that the rooster won’t be so lucky the next time. The cow claims that she lost her phone weeks ago and someone else sent those text messages.
The cow and rooster are neighbors and have a history of violent altercations. Five months ago, the rooster called authorities claiming that the cow tried drowning his chicks in a bucket of warm milk.
This morning, Judge Bull Moola, sentenced Betsy Sue Moola to one week probation, minus the day she already spent in jail.

The victim claims that the cow got such a light sentence because the judge in the case is the cow’s brother.
Moola has a history of problems with her neighbors. In March 2017, police were called after Moola tried stomping a goat to death. The cow claims that the goat sexually assaulted her by trying to steal milk directly from her teat.
