BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND– A pet human male from the UK has celebrated his 21st birthday and his macaw daddy made sure the whole world tuned in to the special event.
Parrot Charlie Floyd, 43, and his wife Polly Floyd, 38, posted a two minute video to their YouTube account of themselves singing to their favorite little boy, a 21 year old human male named Buster whom they adopted when he was just 3 years old.
When Buster was only 3 years old, Charlie found the cute little thing lying on the sidewalk after barely escaping a tree fire.
Unfortunately Buster’s parents weren’t so lucky, so Charlie did the honorable thing and brought the injured human into his home where he’s lived a spoiled life ever since.
Caring bird wife Polly helps take care of their pet when Charlie’s busy at work away from the nest, where he’s employed as an office manager.
Buster is a pretty human, with gorgeous brown tufts of hair and a shiny skin coat. Charlie says his pet’s silky skin is due to a diet high in nutritious omega fatty acids, but treats him once a day with a reward of a few sweet Skittles candy.
“Buster loves Skittles,” Charlie told reporters as he stroked Buster’s chin. “I have to hide the candy really well because he goes around the house opening cabinets and throwing things onto the floor looking for them.”
Doctors who specialize in humans say that on average most people have a long lifespan, as long as they are kept clean, remain indoors away from predators, given a healthy diet, and shown lots of love because they crave plenty of attention.
