OAKWOOD, CALIFORNIA– A massive search is on for the cat who has been shooting birds with a pellet gun in the East Oakwood area.
Bird groups have come together to offer a $1.99 reward for information leading to an arrest.
According to the group, at least four birds have been injured, and another five are suffering from post traumatic stress disorder after witnessing the horrific ordeals. All the attacks happened in the Bird Land neighborhood.
The quiet neighborhood is an area filled with birds of all kinds. Many birds believe the cat shooter is a resident of neighboring city Cat Town.
One of the bird victims had to have one of her wings amputated.
“Polly lost one of her wings,” said Dr. Robin Crane, who runs a local aviary medical office. “Polly will never fly again. This is animal cruelty plain and simple.”

All of the birds are recovering from being shot by pellet guns. One parrot had to be euthanized due to excessive talking after the ordeal.
Every victim had colorful plumage.
“They were easy targets,” Dr. Crane added.
