EL PASO, TEXAS– Former Congressanimal Beto O’Pork is running for President of the United States.

Local pigs are in hog-heaven after hearing the news that one of their own just might make it to the highest office in the country.

O’Pork is seeking the Democratic nomination and made the announcement on Thursday morning via text to celebrity pig and radio host Porky Pig.

“I’m not just doing this for all my fellow pigs, hogs, and boars,” O’Pork said in the text, “but also for every animal that ever dreamed of making it to the most powerful position in the world.”

After his senate loss to Ted Moos in November, speculation has been swirling about whether the social suid would run for President. A fued with President Donald Hump only added fuel to the proverbial fire.

In the Vanity Unfair article, O’Pork stated “I’d probably, maybe, kinda, sorta be good at the job of President, even though I’m not exactly sure.”
