Meet Nappeun Gae, Supreme Canine of the isolationist country. Nappeun Gae has been ruling North Korea with an iron paw for the last ten years and has no plans on letting up any time soon.

Nappeun Gae became Supreme Canine when his father Ttungttunghan Gae died from worms back in 2007. The Supreme Canine with the peculiar haircut comes from a long line of bizarre, cult-like family members.
Nappeun’s grandfather Keun Gae was a gorilla fighter who used his skills to drive out the gorilla-occupied territory and establish the Democratic Animal’s Republic of North Korea.
Keun’s wife had three puppies, including Keun’s father Ttungttunghan. After murdering his two siblings by poisoning their dog chow, Ttungttunghan went on to rule the land once his father Keun had passed.

Nappeun Gae took over in 2007, which brings us to the present day, where the fierce canine is said to be North Korea’s most brutal dictator to date.
Nappeun uses his human pet Kim Jong Un as a weapon, not only against North Korean citizens, but against the world. South Korea’s leader has said that “the only thing worse than Nappeun’s bark is Kim Jong Un’s bite.”
